Enjoy a delightful morning strolling along Puerto Vallarta's Malecón while discovering the stories behind the iconic bronze sculptures along the waterfront. Throughout the tour, renowned guide Gary Thompson, founder of Galería Pacífico, brings each piece to life with captivating narratives and a dynamic, engaging presentation.
With over 30 years of experience in Vallarta's art scene, Gary has firsthand knowledge of many of the artists and the stories behind these remarkable sculptures. Most of the pieces have been privately funded, and their creation process, from concept to final installation, can take between one and three years.
The tour lasts approximately two hours and concludes at Galería Pacífico, where sculptor Jim Demetro is often present to explain the complex and fascinating process behind these works. Complimentary beverages will be provided.
The tour is free; however, donations are greatly appreciated and will benefit the Los Mangos Library.
