A new, bestselling book presented by the groundbreaking author and legendary Harvard psychology professor, Vallarta winter resident Ellen Langer, Ph.D. Friday, February 9, 10:30 am. Shelf Life. An intimate, engaging memoir and lucid guide to thriving in life's "third act" presented by the engaging speaker Norma Schuh. Norma is a playwright, university instructor, actor, producer, founder of a prison ministry and a women's singing group (Vallarta's own Quesadivas). A one-time hospice volunteer, Norma has worked in academia and the corporate arena. Friday, March 15, 10:30 am. Saved by Science. A presentation by author and retired professor Dr. Mark Poznansky on the power of harnessing biology and technology to tackle our greatest challenges: food insecurity, global warming, health challenges and more. Geared to the non-scientist, Mark helps us move from pessimism to optimism. Mark received both a B.Sc. and a Ph.D. in Physiology from McGill University, and did a Post Doctorate in Biophysics at Harvard Medical School. Click here for tickets
