Special Screening of "The Mysterious Gaze of the Flamingo" – A Must-See Queer Fable
The Vallarta Gay+ Community Center, in collaboration with MOVii and Tulip Pictures, invites you to a unique cinematic evening in the heart of the Romantic Zone.
We present "The Mysterious Gaze of the Flamingo," the acclaimed debut feature by Chilean director Diego Céspedes (winner at Cannes, Un Certain Regard). This film is a melodramatic, modern Western that transports us to a mining town in the 1980s, where the myth of a disease transmitted through the gaze of men who love each other circulates. Through the eyes of young Lidia, we discover a powerful story about protecting our chosen family and the value of community in the face of prejudice.
