Former President Benito Juárez García was born on March 21, 1806 in San Pablo Guelatao, Oaxaca. He was an indigenous Mexican politician and lawyer, the life of Benito Juárez becomes relevant when listing the many achievements and enterprises he carried out throughout his days; Of Zapotec origin, Juárez would come to occupy the presidency of Mexico on several occasions, and would carry out one of the most important events in the life of the country, by proclaiming the reform laws, with which the separation between the assets of the church and the state would become a reality. In 1857 he was elected president of the Supreme Court of Justice, a job he carried out until December of that year, when he took over the Mexican Presidency. He is the first and only president of indigenous origin in Mexico: his mandate lasted 5 periods: from 1857 to 1872. Also known as Meritorious of the Americas for his fight against the French invasion, Benito Juárez laid the foundations on which the secular State and the federal Republic are founded in Mexico. In the same way, during the time that he served as president of the Supreme Court of Justice of the Nation, he defended the Constitution of 1857.
