The 4th annual Day of the Dead Festival

The Day of the Dead is a tradition that we have inherited the ancient Mexicans, and is eminently Mexican.

Vallarta is celebrating this Mexican Tradition in coordination with the city Puerto Vallarta with the 4th annual Day of the Dead Festival from October 31 to November 3. You are invited to the following:

There is something of a competition where you can get a "passport" and have it stamped at each of these alter sites. Deposit your pilgrimage's passport to register your visit and record your "votes". The urn to deposit passports will be located next to the Rio Cuale Market Altar in Calle Matamoros.

NOVEMBER 1:

At 7:00 pm will be presented at the Arcos del Malecón - Catrinas Spectacular of Aguascalientes.

From 7:00 pm will begin the Day of the Dead Festival celebrating the Angels or Souls children.

The party will be in the Plaza Lazaro Cardenas where there will be popular Mexican dishes available, a cooking demonstration of the "dead bread" accompanied by hot chocolate, and Xiutla Ballet exhibition where various displays rituals of the day of the Dead celebration from the various states of Mexico. There will also be face painting of makeup skulls for all visitors.

NOVEMBER 2

Activities begin at 12:00 pm at Rio Cuale Market. Later in San Salvador Street opposite the City Hall a Dance of the Catrinas Xiutla and Aguascalientes as well as horses Charros dancers, Batucada and scenic groups Cultural Institute, as well as schools and the general public, all characterized as Mexican characters catrinas or allusions to death, anding at Rio Cuale Market which will be the grand finale of the Festival. There will be singers ranchers, the charros with rope and horses, the show's presentation of Ballet Xiutla, the award of Catrinas, all ending with fireworks.
